SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS

OTBSS, in consultation with school educators and subject experts is continuously developing enhanced current presentations and interactive workshops with topics that focus on today’s school’s climate and environment that influence students, staff, schools, school boards and parents of students at the elementary and secondary school levels.
​
OTBSS have also been involved at a more complex level delivering workshop-presentations to post-secondary institutions.
Understanding that each individual educational facilities have their own unique challenges that impact their daily operations, OTBSS meets with the school administrator prior to a presentation to cover additional topics that addresses their specific concerns with positive outcomes to be delivered during the presentations.

The presentations are designed to personalize the specific demands of the participants by captivating them through multifaceted means to include but not limited to open discussions, role-playing initiatives, exercises, problem solving scenarios, and group presentations.
​
The presentation format conforms with the mandates, directives and requirements of the Ontario Education Act, the Safe Schools’ initiatives and the individual school boards mission, policies, procedures, and code of conduct. They support the ‘National Bullying Month’, ‘Bullying Awareness and Prevention week in Ontario’ and Canada’s ‘Pink Shirt Day’, to raise awareness of bullying in schools, workplaces, homes and online.

At the conclusion of the presentations and workshops, OTBSS submits an "Overview Report" that summarizes the content delivered and analyzes potential risks and liabilities identified during the presentation with given recommendations, that may require immediate action, changes, or reviews of present practices to help minimize or eliminate the risks and liabilities to the school boards, schools, staff members and students.
The presentations and workshops allow school boards an opportunity to enhance their leadership role in the Province of Ontario by demonstrating their continuous efforts to combat, minimize, and reduce the risks associated with bullying, cyberbullying, victimization and school violence within their institutes.
